Empty Nests and Childhood Dreams

I was born at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. My family moved to a Texas suburb when I was a young girl, but I spent all of my summers with extended family in the small rural town of Lumberton, Mississippi. Those long, hot months on a farm helped foster a rich appreciation for improvised entertainment - and gave birth to a dream; I wanted to be an actress from a very early age.

After graduating from high school, I put my dreams of an acting career on hold while I obtained a doctorate in the field of psychology. I participated in local theater throughout the years and received training at various sites, but my focus was on raising a family and setting up a private healthcare practice.

When my youngest son left for college, I faced an empty nest with a realization:  I still had dreams to fulfill! So, a little bit late in life, I decided to pursue my lifelong passion for acting at a professional level. I have been training and working steadily in some capacity either in front of or behind the camera ever since! I couldn't be happier with how it has all worked out.
